How to register a new team

If this is your first time participating in Relay for Life, it might seen like a process to join and participate. In all reality, it's a very quick and painless process. Everything can be done online and if the internet is not available, there are forms available to fill out. Every team has a team captain, this person is usually in charge of registering the team and making sure members get the information they need.
We recommend that all team captains maintain a Team Notepad or Binder. This will ensure that all your team information will be in one place. It also makes it easy when team members as questions to have one place to look. There is plenty of information online that you can download to include in this notebook or you can ask a volunteer for more inofmration. 
 
  1. Find the Relay Event you're interested in participating in ( In this case, Southeast Cities Relay for Life)

  2. Click this link for the registration page: Southeast Cities Registration Page  You will see the options below.alt

  3. Select "START A TEAM" from the list... this will take you to the following menu... Here... you will enter the name of your team and your fundraising goal... then click Nextalt

  4. Now you will be presented with various options... you will select "Team Captain Registration (Pay by Cash or Check)" Do not event look at the other options or you will get confused... near the bottom make sure you fill in your fundraising goal thenclick Next.alt

  5. The next step will be one simple question, answer it accordingly and skip to the next step.alt

  6. The next step will take all your personal information. Pay close attention to the astericks (*)... as those are the only ones required for registration. I cut off the image below, there is some more information listed on the page, review it and fill in the information as you need to... then click to the next step.alt

  7. Almost done... the next step will be the waiver, accept it and click to the Next step. alt

  8. This next step will be the billing step, if you did everything according to the steps I outlined, your total should be "$0 " Unless you decided to make a donation to your team... in which case, fill in you credit card info and follow to the next step.alt

  9. You should be complete!! Congrulations!
